The traffic outside is horrible and unless you arrive with taxi or public transport, you will not have a good time. Otherwise the clinic is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. There is a pharmacy on the other side of the hospital as well.

Not sure I recommend this place, but at the same in Sofia you don't have many options. I visited 2 departments here, so I came back multiple times. Only doctors speak English, everyone else doesn't even try. At the blood test, while I was with the nurse I asked a couple of questions and I was completely ignored. She kept gossiping with her colleague though. Unbelievable stuff. 2 of the 3 doctors I spoke with were OK. One of them was quite bad, visit done in 15 minutes, not enough questions asked, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a diagnose done in that way, visit was still 100 leva. I had to go to ANOTHER doctor somewhere else to ask for a second opinion because the meds prescribed despite being quite expensive didn't improve my situation much. And guess what, the real visit took an hour. You can't visit a patient in 15 minutes for a specialized visit. Communication is done on viber with doctors which on one hand is nice, on the other they seem always in a rush, they never say "hello" or not even "thanks", they always seem somewhat angry. And the messages there are never professional. Probably this place is better for Bulgarians, if you're a foreigner, it's a bit difficult. Especially when you have medical conditions and you are already anxious about them, it's really not ideal to get nervous about the hospital too.

I have sent at least 3 emails now in the last few months enquiring about breast removal surgery and have never had them acknowledged. I spoke to a very helpful gentleman who also suggested that I email and again no reply. How are you supposed to contact anyone. ?🤔

The doctors in the maternity ward are professional and competent, but the neonatology procedures are very outdated — the baby is not given to the mother after birth, which will definitely lead to breastfeeding problems later. They also give formula and a pacifier to the baby right away without consent, and the father cannot see the baby until discharge — a practice abandoned worldwide nearly 30 years ago. Overall, the hospital does not follow the principles of Baby-Friendly Hospitals. So I would recommend monitoring your pregnancy here but giving birth in another medical facility.
