I had a very positive experience at Tokuda Orthopaedic Ward and I am truly grateful for the care I received. I was hospitalized there for four days in January 2026, and throughout my stay I felt well cared for and supported. My doctor, Dr. Pashov, along with the nurses, staff, and the entire operating room team, were extremely kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. Their professionalism and compassion made a big difference in my recovery. I stayed in a shared room with Bulgarian Kaka and Lela’s we were four ladies in the room, and it felt warm, supportive, and comforting. Thanks to both the staff and my roommates, I never felt alone, even though this was my first hospitalization in a foreign country. The nurses were always just one call away, ready to help whenever needed. The cleaners were also very kind and cleaned the ward every day. The level of cleanliness truly deserves praise. Regardless of whether I am Bulgarian or a foreigner, I was treated with respect and kindness. I also appreciated that some doctors, nurses, and physical therapists speak English, which helped me feel more comfortable and informed. I strongly believe that when we treat healthcare workers kindly, they respond with the same kindness, it’s the least we can do to appreciate their hard work and dedication. Overall, my experience was excellent, and I am very satisfied with the care I received at Tokuda Orthopaedic Ward. I would highly recommend it.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Slavi Spasov (Hematology), Dr. Magdalena Peneva-Raycheva, and the entire Radiology team at Acibadem City Clinic. From the first moment, they treated me with kindness, respect, and genuine attention. I came in worried, but Dr. Spasov was calm, patient, and very thorough — he listened carefully, explained everything clearly, and made me feel safe and understood. Dr. Peneva-Raycheva was equally professional and compassionate, and the radiology team worked with great precision and care. What stood out most was not only their medical expertise, but their humanity. They made a stressful situation feel manageable and gave me confidence every step of the way. Thank you for your dedication, empathy, and excellent care. Sofia is lucky to have specialists like you.

I want to share my experience at City Clinic Hospital "Tokuda", Sofia, Bulgaria, from last year December 2024. It is related to the department of ENT. My son had a surgery for removing the adenoids that happened in November 2024 and it was performed by Dr Manev. The surgery was successful but I am not happy with the commitment according to the appointments with Dr Manev. I was booking appointments and when I was there with my son, the doctor was on holiday when he confirmed them. I was travelling from the UK to Bulgaria and that cost me a lot of money for the airplane tickets. My experience is related to December 22nd, when I booked an appointment for my son with Dr Manev for a last check after the surgery but unfortunately, he was already on holiday. I asked another doctor to see him and that was Dr Kyulev. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart to Dr Kyulev and the people who supported him such as Dr Mustafa Barzev, Dr Nikolina Dimova and the nurse Slaveva. I was unwell at that time and asked them just to look at my throat and Dr Dimova with Dr Kyulev found that I was very ill, to lose my life, and I needed to stay at the hospital. Dr Kyulev worked with me 3 hours after his shift and all other specialists tried to help me, and they did it to their best. THANK YOU. Unfortunately, Dr Dimitur Zlatkov, who wasn't there but he is the manager of the ENT ward, decided not to open the ward for me and I had to find emergency service in other hospitals during the Christmas time to finish my treatment and to be able to go back on the plane to the UK. I thank you to Dr Kyulev and the young specialist doctors who gave me all the care that I needed. However, I am really disappointed with Dr Zlatkov who refused to give me a chance to finish my treatment and Dr Manev who wasn't serious about his patient. Kind regards, Stanislava Milenkova

First of all I would like to say that I am thankful they were able to help my child during our stay. However, for the amount of money we were charged (since we don’t live here and she hasn’t received her Bulgarian documents yet) I was expecting way better service. For starters, the rooms were dirty. I was fortunate to be able to get a private room, but it was small, the floors were sticky, and the bathrooms smelled. Bedding was questionable and when my daughter would get it dirty, they’d just bring me sheets instead of changing them out. Literally no one checks on you unless you call for them or it’s a scheduled doctor visitation. The nurses are snappy and dismissive and some of the doctors were clueless and panicked (imagine how that makes the parents feel). The part that bothered me the most, however, was the fact that more people visited me to ask about my method of payment and forced me to walk around the entire hospital with a sick baby, until I turned them down, than came to actually help my baby feel better. A nurse had the audacity to disconnect my baby from her IV 3 times just so I can go down the hall to wait in a line and fill out paperwork to make sure “I can pay” since my child is not a Bulgarian citizen yet. I offered countless of times to pre pay to save myself these troubles but no one knew how to handle this situation so they just kept trying to get me to run around for them. The methods they use are a bit outdated and having parents wait outside while small procedures are performed is also insane. Overall for the hefty price tag of over 2000 leva for 2 nights of IVs, you’d expect a bit more, but again, thankful we got the help we needed during this scary time.

Service has become extremely slow, paperwork has increased. Registration, acceptance papers preparation and review, payment (split in two steps and offices) is done in 4 different locations in the building and took more than 2 hours.
