Riverside Hotel в Банско

I am extremely disappointed with Riverside Hotel in Bansko. I had paid in advance for ski passes and ski equipment rental for 3 days. Unfortunately, due to a death in my family, I had to return home immediately after arriving and was unable to use the services even for a single day. My travel agency contacted the hotel directly to explain the situation and provide details, but despite this exceptional and tragic circumstance, Riverside Hotel refused to refund even a partial amount. This shows a complete lack of empathy and basic human understanding. We are not talking about a change of plans for fun – this was a family tragedy. Any professional and customer-oriented hotel would show some flexibility or at least offer a partial refund or a voucher for future use. Instead, they chose to hide behind “policy” and take the money without providing any service. This experience left a very bitter taste. I do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone who expects humanity, respect, or fair treatment. Very poor customer service. Shameful behavior.

This hotel is a value for money hotel. It has all the comfort of a big hotel such as an internal thermal swimming pool, good and plenty of food and very cozy lounge bar. The hotel is not for those who are very curious and look at details, eg curtains were a bit torn and towels were not changed if not asked for. I would go again. Distance from the gondola is an issue about 1,2 km away.

The rooms are extremely small, with no space for storing personal belongings. They are also very cold and uncomfortable. There is no internet available, despite it being advertised as part of the hotel’s amenities. The only good thing about the hotel is the spa area. The food is tasty, but the selection is very limited. Overall, the stay was disappointing for a hotel with 4 star.

I do not recommend this hotel. Although I made a reservation for a specific type of room, I was given something different and was told that they did not have the room I had booked. In the second room, which was supposed to be a triple, we received a double bed plus a mattress on the floor. There was no hot water, and the electricity went out as well. The reception staff were not helpful at all; they kept saying there was nothing they could do about the issues mentioned. I won’t even mention the cleanliness (such as changing towels) — for four days they did not bother to bring fresh ones. The reception staff do not speak even basic English, so we were unable to communicate properly. The only good things were the food, the pool, and the sauna.

I have been to so many 4 star hotels and I have no idea how this hotel got the 4 stars honestly.. * THE NOISE OMG THE NOISE! there is 0 sound isolation, guests kept talking shouting laughing and even fighting ALL NIGHT TILL 6AM. * the staff are nice and that's the only good thing about this place. Plus the central location. * the food for breakfast and dinner is so limited, you have to pick from 2 or 3 options max no variety at all and made with low quality products.Bonus they will serve theeftovers from the previous day for dinner. * there is no pool for kids, . The saunas are not working unless you ask the staff to switch it on for you despite the fact that the hotel was full. * the cleaning is very superficial, you can see in the rooms dust ,mold, spider webs..plus old furniture, needs full refurbishment. * The prices vary from 100euros per night to 500euros for the SAME ROOM, SAME NUMER OF PEOPLE. depends what you will accept.
