Hotel Elitsa в Банско

Would not recommend! The receptionist lady was extremely rude. She obviously does not want to be there because you can never find her at the reception. We called on the phone a week prior to ask if they let dogs at the hotel and we were told “Of course! There is no problem!” When we arrived she saw the dog and said nothing. We went to the shops to get food and she calls us on the phone screaming that she heard a dog barking. She proceeded to tell us dogs are allowed at the hotel and she will kick us out that day and keep all the money. The shower was disguisting, constantly filling with gross water. The beds were super uncomfortable. If you want to be super stressed out on your holiday this is the hotel for you!

I learned my lesson - cheap is expensive. Thin walls so you hear everything. Dirty rooms/bathroom with no hot water- didn't even flush the toilet. Old, cheap and hard beds. Electricity problems - some lights don't work, others flicker making noise. You have to pay 10lv extra for the AC and the room got very hot. Location wise - it's close to the church which rings its bells every single hour of the day and night - once for 1am, twice for 2am etc.

Firstly, we let the receptionist (apearantly it was an owner) to know that we will come around 21h. He left for us a handwritten note in russian language which was not possible to understand. The shower itself was a disaster. After 15sec in a shower there was no hot water anymore, also the pipe were cloged. So you just standing in a big discusting pond and waiting until it will drain out. On room description there was a note that there is a catle inside the room, but there was none. We had no energy to complain that evening. On the morning we told the owner (receptionist) about the catle but he shouted back to us "I could have not let you in at all". Also no free parking, no receptionist 24/7, also no heating inside the room

The hotel is located just near the lower end of the central walking street with many shops, restaurants and mini markets. The lady who welcomed us was very helpful and kind even in allowing us to have a packed breakfast since we would have checked out very early the next day. The room was very cozy, equipped with all comforts and with a balcony. The hotel does not have parking but opposite there is a public paid car park until 18:30 and then it is free. Adequate fare. I recommend it

The lady at the reception hates everyone till lunch time, and after lunch hates even herself ! :) good luck as well if you don't speak Bulgarian, as she don't understand any other lenguage. Don't look for her at the reception as she won't be there, you can find her outside smoking. Horrible hotel and staff. Also there is no free parking as they are advertising, door of the room not locking etc etc.
