Hotel Sofia в София

We stayed during the month of september (13-20). A quiet location, close to the beach, the room was very spacious and clean (with huge beds). The food was very delicious, had no problems selecting each day a new meal. The staff was friendly, always eager to help you. The hotel even had toys to borrow for the kids. I’d definitely recommend this hotel. The only downside for us was that the WI-FI was pretty slow, but it wasn’t that big of a problem for us.

If I had the opportunity to write a whole book about my experience at this hotel, I would. Let’s start with the negatives, because the positives are few and far between. - The first room was clean at first glance, but we found two tiny bugs (I think they were carpet bugs, but I’m not sure) on the bed. The smell was thick, and the room had old, barely functioning centralized ventilation. - The bathroom was small, and the shower cabin window had several missing spots in the seal. There was also a huge spider web in the corner. I spoke to the manager about the bugs, but she brushed it off and said, “The bug was not what you thought.” (A bug is still a bug, regardless of the species.) - The second room was clean, but the “double bed” was actually two single beds that shifted left and right during the night. - The balcony had a table and two broken plastic chairs, and there was a rusty clothes dryer. - The bathroom was clean, but the shower cabin was placed directly on the floor without a bathtub underneath. All the water went on the floor, creating a small flood. The drain in the floor was useless. - I tried to eat only on the first day, but I gave up. The meat was uncooked, and there weren’t many options to choose from. The elevators didn’t have any sensors, and one of them hit me while closing the door. My phone almost fell between the elevator and the floor. In the end, the whole experience was more like a nightmare than a holiday. I’ve attached some photos for reference.

The personel from the reception, Sedef and Yanislav did a awesome job. Is was a lot of people there, everyone with different problems, but they managed it perfectly. They are the sweetest and I really wanted to tell it here. About the place, it is very beautiful, clean and it is the first hotel to totally make me feel at home.

Ever since my arrival, I was taxed with a very high fine for the parking spot (people are parking 2-3 cars in one spot, there’s no room at all), after I checked in the room there were all kinds of visible faults, wifi not working, beds were tilted to a side, rails on the balcony were faulty and when I came with this problems to the personnel, they did not solve any of it, furthermore told me that these are not real problems and I should just stay like this. Distance to the beach is 10-12 minutes. I don't recommend at all, 1/10

The room was clean but the sea view from balcony not so nice - it's between two hotels. The food... the poor quality and only few things - the meet missed from meals at lunch. The private beach is a quite far way, but nice. I don't recommend the hotel.
