The shopska salad and the bread it came with were great in quality and quantity. The same was true for the pork knuckle. I wasn't sure about the pork knuckle when the waiter recommended it because I thought it was more of a Bavarian thing, but the preparation was completely different in Bulgaria: tender and came with stewed cabbage. The waiter removed the meat from the bones as it was served. The service was ok. The waiter didn't speak much English, but she did her best with my phone translation.

Nice atmosphere. Food is good but nothing really special. Food presentation is kinda uninspiring. Taste average. Size of main dishes a little small, but with starters enough to get full. Make reservation especially for weekend peak hours.

my first ever taste of traditional bulgarian food, so I may be a bit biased, but it was honestly amazing. the portions were very good for the price and the taste was amazing. the service may not be the most attentive, but I believe it does not affect your enjoyment of the restaurant at all. definitely recommend trying it out!

Located in Lozenets this traditional restaurant has a great selection of tasty homecooked Bulgarian dishes, fantastic and friendly staff and a great atmosphere. We had the rabbit and pork shank as mains with liver and beans to start.... all top knotch. Absolutely outstanding experience, highly recommended.
