I have been a regular customer of Sofia Cafe Bar & Dinner for several years, always enjoying friendly conversations with the staff and consistently leaving a 10–15% tip out of appreciation for their service. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was extremely disappointing and has completely changed my perception of this place. On Sunday, 07.12.2025 at 15:30, I visited for coffee, cake, and a shisha with an extra tobacco refill. My bill came to 76 + 100 BGN. Since card payment was not available, I placed 4 of 50-BGN bills (200 BGN) on the bill. To my surprise, the waitress Pipi came back claiming I had only paid 100 BGN and asked me to pay another 100 BGN. Although I insisted this must have been a mistake, I did not want to create a scene. I reluctantly agreed to pay the additional 100 BGN, trusting that they would review the security cameras and the cashier balance. This would clearly show that I had actually paid 300 BGN, not 200 BGN — a total of 150 EUR. I returned the next day, and again on the third day, only to be told each time that they would “check the issue and the camera.” No resolution, no follow-up, and no sign that they were taking the matter seriously. What I first assumed was a simple accounting error now feels like daylight theft. After years of loyalty and generosity, this experience has left me deeply disappointed and disheartened. A true letdown.

A lovely spot for breakfast in the heart of Sofia. 🌿 The food was fresh and tasty, the coffee – rich and aromatic, and the service – friendly and quick. The atmosphere is cozy, with a view of Vitosha Boulevard that makes the morning even more enjoyable. Definitely a place I’d come back to!

Very cute interior space. Love the eclectic art and vibe. The washrooms are a complete disconnect style wise from the rest of the decor. It is very dark and dated. They should really update them to match the rest of the decor. Coffee is excellent and so is the service.

Update: the thin service girl is arrogant and not friendly. We wanted to sit a bigger table but she didnt allow since we were 2 People as if the place was full of people. Her behaviours are just not nice. Food are delicious and there are very good choices. Also if you are looking for a good hookah,i strongly suggest this place.

I took a break from the rain here and hadn't seen reviews in advance. Took only salmon salad and cappuchino and have to say they are quite good. Shrims in the salad were cleaned - no "garbage" inside, no tails, and it's really important, thanks. Waitress was also friendly and fast enough. Only smokers can worsen the atmosphere there 🥹 So first impression is quite good, see you next time. 😁😁 Upd: Burger with very narrow meet slice, but with a lot of cabbage.
