We had lunch here on a Sunday afternoon—cute, cozy, and absolutely delicious! A true taste of Sri Lanka 🐘🇱🇰 The chef is a Sri Lankan lady, and you can really feel the authenticity in the food. The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming; she personally took care of our order and gave great recommendations based on our preferred spice level. You can choose to sit by the window at the bar, inside, or downstairs, which is a nice touch. I highly recommend the aromatic rice with dhal and your choice of meat—I had the spicy pork and it was full of flavour. Don’t miss the homemade lemonade either, super refreshing! Perfect spot for a relaxed meal with friends, and the prices are very reasonable. We’ll definitely be back.

After being on my go-to list for more than a year, I finally visited rCurry, and boy did I understand the rave reviews I read on Facebook! rCurry, despite being sandwiched in the bustling center of Sofia, reels you in with its quiet ambiance. You'd think you've been transported to a tiny, family-owned diner in a remote town if you visit the restaurant outside of the peak hours. I was there at 2p.m., and I was the only customer, which wasn't an issue, as it afforded me the opportunity to soak in the aesthetics. I had fish curry, which was moderately spiced. They don't go big on the spiciness here, unless you absolutely cannot tolerate even black pepper! While my meal was getting dished, I whined that the plate was too full, and the woman, with a confident chuckle, said she wouldn't worry about that. Well, she was right, because despite I cleaned the plate before I could know it! Price is very decent; the pictured meal cost about 13lv, and it was very filling. Will I come back again? You most definitely bet!

I recently had lunch from “rCurry”, and as a Sri Lankan I can honestly say the food tastes truly authentic, real Sri Lankan flavors, just like back home. The owner is a super friendly lady with a warm smile, and the Sri Lankan chef works pure magic in the kitchen. I believe this might be the only place in Sofia (maybe even in Bulgaria) where you can get authentic Sri Lankan food. Highly recommended! 💯

'Cheap and Cheerful' describes it well. From the moment I arrived I was warmly greeted and guided through the menu. I was not aware it was entirely self-serve style but I got to try a bit of everything which was nice. The food itself was delicious with a lot of flavour - main reason for a 4* is that some of it seemed to have been sitting there for quite some time and tasted a bit old. The atmosphere is unpretentious with indoor and outdoor seating in a large courtyard lined by trees - quite relaxing. Biggest praise would be value for money - I had a full plate of food and a beer for only 20 Lev (~10 Euro)!
