For coffee lovers in Sofia, Martines Specialty Coffee Shop & Roastery is a standout. Their dedication to quality beans and expert brewing results in an exceptional cup every time. Rich, balanced, and consistently delicious – a true five-star experience for the coffee alone.

I found this coffee shop disappointing given its reputation and pricing. I ordered single espresso shots of both their Honduras and Ethiopia offerings, hoping to experience the nuanced flavors that specialty coffee should deliver. Unfortunately, neither lived up to expectations—the shots lacked the complexity, clarity, and distinctive origin characteristics I'd anticipate from beans at this price point. The Honduras was flat and one-dimensional, while the Ethiopia didn't showcase the bright, floral notes typical of the region. For a shop positioning itself in the specialty coffee market, the execution fell short.

One of the best coffee shops in town! Great coffee,amazing matcha(which is really hard to find in Sofia tbh).. 🍵 Everything i’ve tried there is delicious. *There is also a wide variety of milk alternatives!!

The best coffee shop in town! Our absolute favorite place—so good that we’ve stopped making coffee at home. Their cappuccinos, whether with regular milk or a coconut alternative, always have the fluffiest foam and a perfect taste in every sip!

That’s the definition of a specialty coffee shop to me! Ive had a shot from their micro lot Rwanda and it was fabulous. I never tried that complex and sweet coffee as this one. That’s my new favorite coffee shop in Sofia!
