Holiday Inn Plovdiv в Пловдив

This was our second stay at this Holiday Inn. The first time was in the spring a few years ago. That was a great stay. This year, we came in the summer, and we would not return to this hotel during the summer season. Unfortunately, the AC used at the hotel is a central AC so it does not matter how much you try to change the temperature in the room, we could not get it to cool below 29 or 28 degrees Celsius (around 82 Degrees Fahrenheit). We spoke to the front desk staff about the issue and they said they would have someone check the AC but they said that temperature was not that bad and gave us a standing fan to use in the room. The bathroom in our room did not have a fan, so after taking showers, the room would be extra hot and humid. If you open the windows to get some air circulation, the AC shuts off. As far as noise, it was quiet on the 7th floor. You also have a pharmacy and grocery store next to the hotel, which was convenient. The staff was polite and helpful.

very spacious, modern, comfortable and extremely clean rooms! I enjoyed my stay there a lot. the lady with short black hair (I wish I asked her name) was so nice while I was checking in and she went out of her way to help me after I dropped my wallet in the cab- she was calling every single taxi phone number she knew. awesome personnel, but more importantly an awesome human being. thanks a lot!

I enjoyed every minute of my stay at this hotel. The staff are amazing! They are extremely helpful and approachable. Their kindness made my days. We had breakfast and supper here which was very delicious. There is a wide variety of choices and an excellent quality of food. I also like the interior of this hotel. It’s modern, stylish with close to nature design in the communal areas. Just look up to the ceiling in the dining/bar area. I highly recommend this Holiday Inn for you. You will not regret to stay here.

The hotel is actually pleasant and nice, but the location is horrendous. Currently there’s a huge construction at the front, which makes crossing the street difficult. Moreover, the area isn’t served by public transportation very well, with buses running every 40 minutes or so. Calling a taxi is also incredibly difficult as it seems no one wants to pick up guests from this hotel. If you’re visiting Plovdiv, I think it’s better for you to just stick with hotels around the city Centre.

The room is not so big, quite too narrow for 2 people to fit in. Breakfast is good with varieties of food available. The frontdesk staff are good except the night shift GSAa that seemed like they didn't understand clients situations for late check ins.
