What a hidden gem! Absolutely delicious sandwiches, made of homemade or carefully chosen high quality ingredients. Kid friendly. Vegetarian choices available. The owner is so friendly and hospitable, he makes the sandwiches with love, as if served for a family or friend! Apart from the delicious sandwiches (филийка), one can buy homemade relish (лютеница), tomato sauce and local spice mix. Food was ready in minutes, served with a smile and even a fussy young eater asks for more! High quality food, excellent experience and affordable price! Thank you!

Visited during our Balkan bites tour, the owner Petko explained the food history in great detail, the lyutenitsa, although I’m not big fan of the chunky homemade one, made me like it and definitely worth trying it, one of the few places in town that sell the samardala green salt

I came across this place by chance on my second day in the city and decided to try it a few days later. I stopped by on Saturday at 7 PM, but it was closed even though Google listed the closing time as 8 PM, so I returned the next day for lunch. There were two guys working, both kind and helpful. It’s mainly a takeaway spot, but it has some covered seating with stools — which luckily saved us from the rain. The food was good. I tried both the Variant 1 with sausage and mozzarella and the Variant 5, the vegetarian option with eggs and tomato. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask for their spice mix, which probably would have added an extra boost of flavor, but both were tasty and offered at a great price. They only sell beer as a drink option. Highly recommended if you want to try some unique local street food!

Absolutely wonderful place! The traditional Bulgarian sandwiches here are out of this world. Freshly made, warm, and full of flavor. You can really taste the authenticity in every bite. The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. It feels like a true taste of Bulgaria, made with love and passion. A hidden gem and an absolute must-visit!

Best place to eat in Sofia. The owner is super kind, and the history of “filiika” is impressive. Amazing choice if you want to eat something good and local.
