Very Germanic styled place (which is the idea!) with German food, much of it made there the menu claims, plus German style beers made on the very shiny brewkit. Food was very good, beers well made but a bit safe, but that's German beer! The schwarzbier was toasty and tasty alright. Overall it's very good at what it does, but it's not very Bulgarian, easy to reach on bus from the centre.

We had a fantastic experience at Jagerhof! It’s easily one of the better spots in Plovdiv for a hearty meal. The personnel were incredibly professional—very attentive, polite, and quick with the orders. It’s always refreshing to be served by a team that clearly knows what they are doing. The food was the highlight, though. We ordered the glazed pork ribs, and they were outstanding—tender meat that pulled right off the bone with a rich, sticky glaze that had just the right amount of sweetness. To balance it out, we also had some salads, too. Sport salad was my favorite. It was super fresh and generous, packed with crisp greens, cherry tomatoes, quinoa, and egg. It was perfectly dressed Other orders were very delicious, too and the presentation was excellent. Beers were top notch quality. High quality and tasty home brews. We tried lager and weiss. I recommend weiss beer more. Depends on your taste, of course. I can also recommend you the Creme Brûlée for the final sweet taste. Prices are very reasonable. The ambiance is fantastic. Interiors are picked with great taste. Used materials and furniture match with each other. Simply put: Well designed and built. Overall score 4.5/5 for a Bavarian Restaurant

If you’re looking for authentic German flavors in Bulgaria, Jagerhof is a must visit place. Their house-brewed beers are outstanding well balanced, full of character, and easily a reason to come back on their own. The food matches the quality of the beers generous portions, rich flavors, and clearly prepared with care. Warm atmosphere, friendly and attentive service, and a place that truly delivers on what it promises. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Plovdiv for good beer and good food.

Jägerhof is a great place to grab a beer with friends or celebrate any event. Food is super tasty, place is cozy, service is great. My highlight of the night was the home made potato chips — unlike other places I have been to, Jägerhof’s potato chips was not greasy, instead it was crispy and crunchy, just the way it should be. Right, let’s dissect this underwhelming lunch experience at Jagerhof. Started with a cream soup with cheese—not bad, but leaning towards the watery side. Now, cream soup is meant to be rich, velvety, and indulgent, not something that makes you wonder if the chef just ran out of ingredients and topped it up with tap water. Then came the chicken with sauce and salad—and this is where things really went south. The chicken was supposed to have a crispy crumb—what we got was mushy, sad, and completely missing that golden, crunchy texture. Worse? The chicken itself was dry—not moist, not flavorful, just plain disappointing. Next, a salad with tomatoes, cheese, and zucchini —it was fine. Nothing special, nothing to write home about, just a plate of "it exists." Then the sausages with tomato sauce—except the sauce was more like tomato-flavored water. No depth, no richness, just a thin, lifeless excuse for a sauce that had absolutely no business being on the plate. Now, the only saving grace? The staff were quick and efficient. And look, it was just lunch—not exactly the time to expect a culinary masterpiece. But even so, basic execution was lacking. Overall? A 3/10. Not a complete disaster, but definitely not worth a second visit. Sort out the textures, get some real sauce on the plate, and maybe—just maybe—this place could serve something memorable.
