Me and my family spent the Christmas holidays her which was unfortunate as this decision ruined it. We came to the hotel with high expectations because of the good reviews, we chose it mainly because of the good feedback about the food and the kids animation. Our kids are nine years old and there was nothing suitable for their age. The hotel’s common areas are warm and cozy but very basic, nothing special, with dated furniture and very basic Christmas decoration. In the hotel itself there was no festive atmosphere at all. The spa is the same as it was 15 years ago. Swimming pools are small for the number of guests. Areas around them are wet and messy. Only the outdoor pool was warm enough and it is so small. There are a lot of rude people working there making you feel you are their unwelcome guest. There were some nice people as well but they could not make up for their rude colleagues. Food is fresh but with a basic choice, the same every day. Breakfast is ok. Most people working in the restaurant are rude and non friendly, unwilling to cooperate, insulting guests behind their back. Not a pleasant atmosphere at all, and definitely not festive. Heater in the room is central and works on a schedule. Bathroom is with a bathtub in which you are supposed to shower and it has a curtain that is disgusting. There was a noisy bar with loud music keeping us up till late. Finally I addressed all my disappointment to a person in charge because I believe before writing a negative review it is correct to first share it with the management. They did nothing. Overall if you come with no expectations and you get an offer with a reasonable price, you might be ok and find yourself well here. If you are used to going to five star hotels and expect the minimum for the rate you will be definitely disappointed. My advise, check well before you plan.

A wonderful hotel with top-level service. The cleanliness is impeccable, and the food is delicious and high quality. Special thanks for the kids activities, my child is absolutely thrilled! We will definitely be back.

We stayed at Katarino Spa Hotel in Razlog, Bulgaria for just one night, and honestly, we wished we had extended our stay. The highlight of this hotel is without question the view, one of the most breathtaking landscapes I’ve ever seen, with a stunning panorama of the Pirin Mountains that feels both peaceful and majestic. The spa area was excellent, and the heated pool was especially enjoyable, perfect for relaxing while taking in the mountain scenery. The amenities are clearly the real strength of this hotel, designed to help guests fully unwind and appreciate the natural surroundings. The staff were warm, welcoming, and very attentive, which made our stay even more pleasant. Food prices were reasonable and met our expectations, good quality without being overpriced. Overall, Katarino Spa Hotel is a must-visit when traveling to Bulgaria, especially if you’re heading to the Bansko area.

A very nice hotel for families with kids. The main reason why we go there is because our daughter really enjoys all the activities - there is always something to do for the kids- Karaoke, mini disco, painting etc. The lady working in the kids center is called Vesi- she is a star :)

Starting with most amazing part of the journey: “The food!” as it was incredible. Absolutely everything tasted amazing and the quality of products used is top notch. Animation for kids, the pools and how grouped and easy to reach was amazing. The rooms were clean, the view stunning, and the staff very helpful. Very enjoyable stay during hot summer days.
