It's not a hotel; it's a guest house, quite basic and unrefined. Upon arrival, you must enter from the back, as that's where the entrance is located. The building is old, so there’s no elevator. If you have heavy luggage and back issues and ask for help, the two women on-site will simply tell you to manage on your own. Keep in mind, there are four floors. Breakfast isn't provided, and they only accept cash—no credit cards or electronic payments, even for longer stays. If you don’t have enough cash for your six-night stay, the owner will insist you go get it right away, especially on a scorching 40°C July afternoon, claiming she’s "waiting for you." During my six nights, neither the room nor the bathroom was cleaned, towels or glasses were never replaced, and I had to request toilet paper when it ran out. The only maintenance was the dustbin being emptied every two days. When I checked out, I asked the elderly lady at the reception to call me a taxi to the bus station since I don’t speak Bulgarian. She did so begrudgingly, snorting and cursing. The only kind person was the gentleman at the reception on other days, always ready to assist with his translator in hand. The only positive aspect, aside from the low cost, is its strategic location just a stone's throw from the old city, but I wouldn’t choose this guest house again.

I should give 2 stars, but because the price paid was low I keep 3 stars. We had a triple room, large enough but with some issues: No amenities in the bathroom. The shower was broken spraying water everywhere. No refrigerator in the room. Private car parking that helps a lot being the hotel in the high part of the town. The big problem started making check-in: No credit Cards (we are in 2023!!!). The check-in is in one place and after you need to find the hotel in the top of the hill. Well, some of these things could be changed and turn your welcome pleasant.

WiFi didn't work well on our floor. The water supply was suspended while my boyfriend was having shower. Apart from that, it's a nice place to stay.

Very polite stuff. Great location, close to the old town but away from noise. Parking might be a little difficult as the building is uphill and the roads are super narrow....

Lovely guest house in the old town. The host is really friendly and helpful. No complaints.
