This school came highly recommended and I didn't get disappointed. Geri in the office speaks perfect English, and Bobi the instructor is extremely patient and makes sure you feel calm, confident and supported. Would definitely recommend it to all foreigners and others whoneed a driving license.
Виж в GoogleI was a foreign student who wanted to pass the test in order to get the Bulgarian licence. Gergana was excellent at translating from English to Bulgarian: she is also responsible for the corresponding paperwork. The school is small and friendly. I could choose the times when to come into the office and work on the tests, as well as to ask any questions. Boris was my instructor, he also runs the school. He was patient, which was not easy considering the language barrier and the fact that I could drive already. As they say... hard to teach an old dog new tricks, hey.. But Boris managed to put me at ease, brought me to the theory test and, amazingly, knew the result (pass) before I even got back to the office. The only piece of advice I have is this: foreign students need all the steps of the process to be explained to them beforehand, one by one. Knowing what exactly to expect makes the tests not as daunting. In the end - I passed from the first attempt. Thank you, guys, for being so human and for making me feel welcome at the school. Boris, I apologise for not leaving the review earlier; life took over.
Виж в GoogleIf you need to get your Bulgarian driving license and need a school that can help you in English - this is the place for you! Gergana is fluent in English as was very helpful. The materials have been translated are are available to you in English. The online written test is also available in English - both the practice and the real one (that is, you can do the written test in English - caveat - the translation is poor at times, so practice is key to learning the correct answers!). Note: I'm from Canada which has zero recognition or exchange policy for my drivers license - I needed to start from scratch for getting my BG license. Boris was my driving instructor, although he speaks Bulgarian only, this is a good thing, because ultimately the examiner for the road test will be Bulgarian. You need to learn the Bulgarian words for simple things like directions - straight, left, right, intersection, crosswalk, roundabout, stoplight, etc. You'll get the hang of it after a while. However, even here Gergana is available to join you in the car (lessons or road test) and provide translation for you. Don't get hung up on how many years you've been driving. You need to focus on what the examiner will be looking for and what will cost you points (simple example, stop well ahead of a stop sign - so you can see line over hood. wait a full three second count. then advance and look for clear intersection. then proceed.). Your residency card must be in a valid (non expired) state for you to take written / road test. Passed both written and road tests first time. So thanks to Olimp for getting me through the process for getting my Bulgarian drivers license! P.S. You will need an education certificate as a pre-requisite. For me waaaayyy easier to use my university (post-secondary) diploma and apply online at NACID.bg for my education certificate - arrived within a few weeks. You will also need the Red Cross basic (one day) first aid course. Since I had valid course certificate, you can get the required BG certificate by visiting the BG red cross. Otherwise, you will have to take the course here in BG. P.S.S. Once you get your residency card, you can drive in BG for maximum of ONE YEAR with your valid (not expired) foreign drivers license, an international drivers permit, and a legalized translation of your license. After this, you must be driving with a BG license. Reason I mention this is that I would start AT LEAST three months ahead of one year date - to get in the classes, lessons, written test and road test. PLUS once you apply getting the physical license takes up to 30 days!!
